The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2
With the fifth and final film, the pop culture phenomenon that is the “Twilight” saga is drawing to a close. And while nothing can fill the void in fans’ lives, at least “Breaking Dawn 2” ends the series with a bang—and then some. You’ve got romance, suspense, action (lots of it!)…and, most importantly, Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) living happily ever after. And even if you know the books by heart, you’ll be thrown for a loop by an exhilarating twist that dares to depart from Stephenie Meyer’s narrative!

“Breaking Dawn: Part 2” picks up right where Part 1 left off: After giving birth to half-human, half-vampire baby Renesmee almost kills her, Bella has been turned into a vampire herself. Turns out, she really takes a shine to the whole undead thing! But just as Bella is getting the hang of vamping it up, her happy undead home life is threatened. Word gets back to the sinister Volturi that the rapidly growing Renesmee could pose a threat—so the Cullen coven must gather their allies and brace for battle.

Although—let’s face it—Part 1 kind of dragged, “Breaking Dawn 2” more than makes up for it with a fast-unfolding plot, engaging action sequences, and snappy humor to lighten the drama and liven things up. The climactic battle sequence is immensely exciting and satisfying for fans of the series—and in fact, even Twi-haters will be entertained!

There’s no question that “Twilight” fans will go see “Breaking Dawn 2” no matter what. The real question is: After so many years of caring about Edward and Bella, will the big finale live up to their expectations? And we’re happy to report that the answer is a resounding yes.

There’s much more to this portrait of the male-stripper lifestyle than eye candy (but there’s plenty of that too!).
